Extra Star :
The place is one of few that are open until 5am
Went here with my friend at around 2am on a weeknight so we didn't expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised with a nice (mostly male) crowd and good cocktails. The music was blah but the atmosphere is cool and lively. -

Great Place with good music and accommodating staff. I had a great night here. It was interesting to see an inside smoking area, In NYC all smoking HAS to take place outside. I had a great night and met some great people as well. Definitely a good place to drink and party.

Sweet bartenders. Across from Dirty Dick and open until 5am. No smoking area. Be careful on the winding, unfinished, frighteningly narrow stairs down to the bathroom (which has a weird escape hatch to nowhere but a dirt patch...yes, I checked)

This was the last bar I went to during my trip to Paris and I wish I had discovered it sooner. They had some great local beers, drink list and entertaining bartenders. One of the beers I recall having was a dark, almost chocolaty beer with dark cherries, so good!
The place was small, and seemed to be somewhat of a mini dance floor towards the back of the bar. I loved the atmosphere of this bar, very chill and intimate, but simple. It just felt like you escaped time once you entered the bar, friendly crowds, good vibes and low key on the wallet too. The night I went, only drawback was that there was just music playing on the stereo, no DJ, so if that was there, it would have liven up the mood a little bit more.
Regardless, it was a great way to end my Paris trip, after all the commotion of trying to get into nightclubs, I felt way more comfortable here than other venues at night. Would go back here again for sure, also the peppery popcorn was a hit with the beers! (There seems to be a thing for hot dogs here too, didn't try but I'm sure it was good as well)! -

Get the drinks, but leave the hot dog. It gets really busy late at night so you should eat dinner elsewhere before you go!
Bartenders are really nice and generally speak English.
